Nabeel M. Shabout, MD, FACS

Longtime Texas resident and sole founder of North Tarrant Surgical, Dr. Nabeel Shabout, is driven by a personal desire to see that his patients receive the best in surgical consultation and comprehensive care. Dr. Shabout is rooted in a personal commitment to “do the right thing,” which extends to all aspects of his practice and personal life.

Graduating from UTA with a degree in Biology, Dr. Shabout set out to continue his studies and work toward his lifetime goal of opening his professional practice. Following his advanced medical studies at UT Southwestern in Dallas and an intense five-year surgical residency at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital, Dr. Shabout felt prepared to open his practice.

Since that time, he has served in several leadership roles including Chief of Surgery at Harris Methodist Fort Worth as well as Chief of Staff at Texas Health Alliance. His current north Fort Worth practice is strategically anchored in the medical district of the thriving Alliance area. Dr. Shabout offers a variety of surgical procedures that span a broad range of cases, with a great interest and focus in minimally invasive robotic surgery.

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Shabout has done what he set out to do since early adolescence. His relationship with his patients is “familiar and fun with a dose of honesty,” he says, and he feels perfectly placed, doing exactly what he knows he was meant to do professionally.

Dr. Shabout is married and the father of two daughters. Sharing quality time with his family traveling to culturally diverse and often remote destinations is how he likes spending his leisure time. As a self-described sports enthusiast, he enjoys soccer, football and outdoor activities, including snow skiing and anything that challenges and recharges the senses.

Dr. Shabout reflects on his path by saying,
I love what I do, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Jill De Franceschi

Jill has been in the medical field for over 20 years. Even from a young age, Jill knew she wanted to care for others and healthcare seemed a natural fit. Starting in the file room for a neurosurgeon, she quickly worked her way to the reception desk. Jill learned the administrative duties of the medical office while working as Front Office Manager and attending nursing school. As a nurse, she worked in several specialties, including gastroenterology, dermatology, and neurology. With her nursing background and extensive knowledge of the medical office, she furthered her education and earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management. Jill believes in delivering the healthcare she would expect for her own family. She strives to improve the lives of her patients and their families.

When she has free time, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband and family, off roading in her Jeep, or lounging around with her mastiff, Dozer.

Barbra is our Lead Medical Assistant. She has worked with Dr. Shabout for over 6 years. She received her license from ATI in 2010. Before entering the medical profession she worked at Ben E. Keith Foods for 10 years in the Logistics Department.

Barbra recently celebrated her 17th wedding anniversary with her husband Jay. They love to dance and listen to music. They reside in Haslet where they raise their three crazy and loving daughters, Alexis, Jasmyn and Gabriella. Usually you can find Barbra at her children’s activities, where she loves to spend most of her free time. Whether it is at band, softball or dance, she is there cheering them on.

Zach Sypert

In 2010, Zach Sypert became an anesthesia technician at Texas Health, further advancing his skill set by becoming a Certified Surgical Technologist in 2013.  Over the next several years, he continued growing his skillset and technique by working under the leadership of some of the finest surgeons with varying specialties.

In the summer of 2018, Zach began working directly for Dr. Shabout and shortly thereafter became a Certified Surgical First Assistant—a role he loves more than any other job he’s had.  Zach is especially interested in robotic surgery and how it enables the surgeon to work with more precision and calculation than ever before.

When he isn’t working, Zach enjoys spending time with his high-school sweetheart and wife, Meagan, and Skeeter, their Golden Retriever.  Zach is an avid fisherman. When he is not out on the lake, he is re-building cars, playing hockey or tinkering around in the garage.
